As the third son of a worker, he was born in Istanbul in 1969. In 1971, the family moved to Germany. He discovered his love for music early on and began working as a disc jockey at the age of 13. For ten years, he played in various discos and clubs before completing a technical apprenticeship. Around 1998, he got married.

Over the years, an illness was diagnosed that eventually led to blindness. He had to put his love for music on hold because of his training, family responsibilities, and the illness. Later, after his divorce, he was able to return to music. Today, he turns his severe disability into a source of inspiration — hence the name BlindMan.
